Disability Advocacy and NDIS Support in Tumut

A bright, natural light, candid photograph of a small, friendly community gathering in a sunny regional Australian town like Tumut. A person in a wheelchair is engaged in a warm conversation with a community worker near a table with brochures and a pot of tea. In the background, there is a welcoming building with a ramp, leafy green trees, and a sense of belonging.

News & Community Support

What we can help with

Get support that is practical, local and easy to understand.

We provide disability advocacy to help protect the rights of people with disabilities and support their voices to be heard. We can also help people navigate the NDIS and understand the next steps that may be available to them.

This support may include:

  • Information and advice
  • Referrals to other services and organisations
  • Advocacy and support to help protect your rights
  • Help to better understand NDIS processes and options

NDIS support in plain English

Find a starting point and ask questions.

The NDIS can feel confusing, especially when forms, appointments and service systems are unfamiliar. Our role is to help you understand the process, talk through your options and connect you with referral pathways where needed.

We do not replace specialist providers or decision-makers, but we can help you find information, work out what questions to ask and access referrals to other organisations.

Advocacy that protects your rights

Know that your concerns matter.

Advocacy means helping make sure your voice is heard and your rights are respected. If you need support understanding services, raising concerns, or finding the right referral pathway, we are here to help.

Our Centre has been supporting the community since 1979 and we continue to offer practical assistance under one roof for individuals, families and carers across Tumut and surrounding districts.
